Electricity in the new and renovation differ by the rates applied. It's always more expensive to renovate as requiring more complex manipulations to be drown in the frame. There are different types of heaters that can make saving more substancials. Replacing your old coil, greedy and easily broken, consider the radiant systems or inertia ones, for example.
So remember to renew your heating installation. The sun can also help reduce your bill by replacing EDF (French elec. supplier) electricity.
Lighting systems
For the lighting, the solutions offered are becoming innovative and even more, cost saving ... not always in terms of installation costs.
- Best known for the moment is incandescent lamp that is energy cost intensive, efficient lighting and whose life is low.
- Follows the lamp called economic or fluorescent. This is actually a lamp that operates on the principle of improved fluorescent tubes. They however spread harmful waves if they are within 1.5 meters of a person. They consume less energy, last longer and less light.
- Finally there is the next evolution, the LED lights (Light Emitting Diodes). They illuminate better than Fluorescents, last longer and consume very little power. The problem is the cost... that is easily paid over time.
